Playing video games has been a hobby that I don’t spend time with anymore. I have my weekly game nights once a week with some friends on Xbox, but that’s it for how much I play per week. If it was a few years ago, that was the only hobby I would do whenever I was home and had free time.
When I started reading and writing, I spent more time with those two than I did with sitting down and playing some games. And that hasn’t stopped either. The only difference now is I write more than I do read, and now reading has been replaced with watching TV.
I’ve only stopped playing games in the last year, so it may be too premature to go ahead and say that I lost interest in it. I didn’t outgrow the hobby; I just haven’t found the desire to go back to playing games again. I mean, I spent most of my life playing games as a hobby, and maybe it was time to try something new, that is all.
