All But Airplane

Daily writing prompt
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

I say no to taking the plane because I have flown across the country a few times, so it’s already been done, and I don’t like flying as much anymore. I prefer the other options of going cross-country over flying now.

To go in order from how the question was asked…

I have never taken a train, but I want to. An opportunity to go cross-country by train would be something I would try for the first time.
Taking the bus would be my last choice, but I’d include it so I wouldn’t have to worry about driving. Someone else would take me across the country, and I could use that time on the bus to read, write, watch TV or movies, and play on my Nintendo Switch. It’s the crowded feeling with strangers which is why I’d pick this one last (over planes at least).

Driving across the country would be fun. Besides being the one to drive, as opposed to the bus option, you can create your route, stop at the places you want to, not be stuck in a vehicle with strangers, and go at your own pace. This option I would prefer to have some company to go along with.

For taking a bike, I’m not sure if the question is by motorcycle — or by bicycle, but for me, I will go by riding a bike. And to answer if I would…yes, I would go cross-country on a bicycle. I’d need time to prepare because I haven’t ridden a bike in years. I’ve been running for a month now and wanted to add bike riding, swimming, and other options for a workout. If given the choice to do this with time to prepare and friends to go with, I would do it.
