For all of my subscribers: if you have one day saw “Brad Michael, Writer” on your list and thought, “Wait a minute, I don’t remember subscribing to this!” I’m just now writing about the change in the name of my blog site. I figured it was time to remove B.Y.C. Connections name and rebrand this to fit a build-up to my author profile.

For anyone who is new here, you can disregard all of that above.

Welcome! My name is Brad, and I’m a full-time web developer who took writing as a hobby a few years ago and has stuck with it since then. This site will house all of my blog posts and mixtures of short fiction and poetry. I have my fiction and poetry written on my Substack, but I will have them here if you prefer this method of reading content over Substack.

Where did B.Y.C. Connections come from, you ask?… You probably didn’t, but still!

A few years ago, my wife and I joined a Fantasy Football league together, and we named our team B.Y.C. Connections. When I brought my blog back to life, I couldn’t think of a name that stuck with me, so I went ahead and named my blog B.Y.C. Connections, thinking it would be good enough. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I decided it was enough of this name, and I started brainstorming. After a good session with my therapist, I felt more comfortable changing my site and labeling myself as a writer. Because – well, I am a writer!

The number of posts coming in will not change. If anything, they will be a little more frequent and hopefully more quality. This post was more of me feeling good about renaming this site to one I’m happy with now!
