Diner Case (100 Words)

A waitress converses with a cop who’s waiting for the culprit to arrive.

“A coffee and a donut, isn’t that a little too cliche, officer…”

“Ryan. And yeah, it is. I got a pretty big sweettooth, ma’am.”

“Right. So, what brings you to this here diner? I have never seen you before, and pretty much all we get are our regulars.”

“I’m actually on a case. You know those people who have been tagging the Security Z-Bots? Stripping them for parts to sell?”

“Yeah. It’s sad to hear.”

“Sad indeed. But I’m just waiting for one of them to arrive.”

“Oh, really? May I ask who?”

“Depends. When does your son come in?”
