Like there was any other answer for me. Ever since I can remember, I always had dogs living with me. Whether it was just one, or as many as five, they all have been a huge part of my life and my best friend!
I have my mother to thank for my love of dogs. She always took care of our previous dogs for as long as I could remember, then would go out of her way to help some that were in need too. For a couple of years back in the early 2010’s, she would spend most of her time as a volunteer dog rescuer. During those years, she would foster dogs in our home until they found a family that wanted them (a few we have fostered we ended up adopting ourselves), or she would drive them from shelters to their new homes. She has showed me how great they can be and how we should treat them as part of our family and not just a pet.
My fiancé and I have our little buddy named Chance, who has been with us since he was a puppy at two months. He’s our first dog that we have owned together, and for how long I have had dogs in my life, this little one has taught me a few things that I wish I did back then. It’s been seven years since we brought him home, going on eight in March, and I honestly can’t imagine life without him because of how much he’s been a part of our family.
