Back to Work After a Nice, Long Break

Well, it’s the day my two-week-long holiday break comes to an end, and I’m sitting at my home office, wishing I was back on break again. I’m counting down the days until the next time my scheduled days off would come, but it’s back to work for now. Even if I were working my dream job, I would probably feel the same way now. You can love your job and what you do, but you need a break away from it, or you’ll burn out and crash. Unfortunately, I’m not in that luxury of loving my job (I don’t mind what I do, though), so I have no problem using my time off because the company policy is, “use it or lose it.”

I’m also feeling antsy sitting here because I’m expecting a package from FedEx that requires my signature. Sure — that’s not a problem. But everything that entails from the moment they ring the doorbell to me making my way to them is pure chaos. We have the world’s loudest doorbell, so when it goes off, I’ll have to calm my dog because that’ll set him off and make it to them before they think ringing three more times will do the trick.

All of this for something that cost less than a pot and pan set we bought that Amazon just left outside in the cold on us. I would be even more annoyed if they didn’t need my signature and delivered it. Mainly because I would be stressing over this for nothing, and I would get my package.

Mini rambling is done, and day two of Bloganuary is complete!
